“There were times [last year] when things didn’t go well, and we didn’t bounce back,” coach John Tillman said. “That’s something that we talked a lot about, something we focused a lot on."
The Terps were also picked to finish No. 2 in the conference, behind Penn State.
The Terps were eliminated in overtime by Virginia in the NCAA tournament last season.
“Whether it hurts you or helps you,” Tillman said, “it’s really about getting the play right.”
A controversial Cavaliers' goal tied the game late.
