The university's SGA president vetoed a piece of legislation supporting the SGA bill last month.
The bill originally passed during a meeting on March 9.
The governor also let about 300 bills go into law without his signature.
The board felt it no longer had jurisdiction over the appeal due to the start of the 2020-2021 legislative session.
Several members of the body are pushing for an emergency meeting to override the veto.
The General Assembly’s legislative session drew to a close Monday.
