The proposed legislation would allow remote voting and attendance of council members for parental leave, illnesses, caregiving responsibilities and more.
The approved map, called October Plan 1, was created by the city redistricting commission after the council advocated for the preservation of current districts.
All other incumbents kept their seats on the council.
