What to watch for Maryland: How do the Terps overcome the loss of Darryl Morsell
The Terps lost Morsell late in the first half against Michigan after he was hit in the face, suffering a facial fracture that required surgery and will keep him out for 1-2 weeks. The senior guard has been a fixture in the Terps starting lineup for most of his career and serves as Maryland’s best player on defense. Maryland will need Hakim Hart and Aaron Wiggins to step it up in his absence and it wouldn’t be surprising to see early-enrollee freshman forward James Graham III to receive some playing time too.
What to watch for Indiana: Trayce Jackson-Davis
The Terps struggled to contain Michigan’s top big man Hunter Dickinson on New Year’s Eve and it won’t get any easier facing Indiana’s star big man Trayce Jackson-Davis. Jackson-Davis leads the Hoosiers with 20.1 PPG, 8.3 RPG and 1.9 BPG. Galin Smith and Chol Marial will have a handful in attempting to contain him Monday night.
