What to watch for Maryland: Stifling defense

The Terrapins have won the turnover battle in each of their first three games, all of which resulted in wins. Maryland’s lockdown defense forced 19 turnovers by Oakland and held the Golden Grizzlies to just 50 points. It’ll be interesting to see if the Terrapins can shut down a Stags offense that features three guards who all average more than 11.5 points per game.

What to watch for Fairfield: Guard play

The Stags are lead by three impressive guards in Jesus Cruz, Landon Taliaferro and Taj Benning. Cruz, who averages 19.5 points per game, has already had some explosive outings in the first few weeks of the season. Benning leads the team in rebounds and assists. If Fairfield has any chance at pulling off a monumental upset, they will need their top three guards to shine Tuesday night.
