Tuesday’s city council presentation came amid a rise in concern from students and city residents about College Park’s economic development.
For many of her coworkers and colleagues, Schum didn’t just contribute to College Park during her tenure as planning and community development director. She built it into what it is today.
The mayor and two city staff members will also participate in a semester-long fellowship discussing how to achieve racial justice through city planning.
For the first time since March, council members and city staff are meeting in person to discuss the city's strategic plan for the next five years.
