Multiple fire departments responded to a commercial building fire near Insomnia Cookies on Lehigh Road in College Park Wednesday afternoon.
The College Park Volunteer Fire Department and the Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department responded to the report at about 1:30 p.m., according to tweets from the departments.
The fire occurred in a kitchen exhaust system, said Mike Yourishin, a spokesperson for the Prince George’s County Fire Department.
As of 1:48 p.m., the building had been evacuated and the fire had been extinguished, Yourishin said. There were no injuries or transports, he said.
