The Original Ledo Restaurant closed in College Park Nov. 22, but another Ledo Pizza franchise will take its place as early as the spring, according to a press release from the city.
College Park’s mayor and city council approved a lease agreement with Chesapeake Hospitality, a Greenbelt-based hotel management company, on Nov. 17, according to the release.

The original restaurant resided on Knox Road for nearly a decade. The owners put it up for sale in January.
The new restaurant will be Chesapeake Hospitality’s eighth Ledo franchise location, according to a press release by the restaurant. It will continue to serve pizza, wings and other Ledo specialties under the new owners, and it will offer curbside pickup and delivery.
A small restaurant could also potentially move into the 5,800 square-foot space, according to the city’s press release.
Renovations on the restaurant space are anticipated to begin in early 2021.
