What to watch for Maryland: Do they start hot?
Despite an 8-0 start to the season, things have not been a cakewalk for the Terps. Slow offensive starts have led to many games being closer than expected and have left pundits unsure of just how strong this Maryland squad truly is. After their most-complete game of the season against Marquette in the Orlando Invitational Championship, the Terps will need to have a similar performance on Wednesday against a Notre Dame team whose only loss this season came to North Carolina.
What to watch for Notre Dame: Do they play spoiler yet again?
The last four times the Fighting Irish have faced a Maryland team ranked in the top 10, they have come out on top. However their most recent matchup against a top-10 Terps squad came back in 2002, and the Irish lost in their only ever game at the Xfinity Center. Notre Dame will look to get back to its winning ways against the Terps and hand them their first loss of 2019.
