Maryland women’s soccer forward Alyssa Poarch was named to the All-Big Ten second team, the conference announced Thursday.

Poarch is the Terps’ top goal-scorer this season, with eight tallies to her name. The redshirt sophomore also tacked on three assists while starting every game for Maryland.

Poarch was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honor on Oct. 1, becoming the first Terp to do so since former forward Jarena Harmon in 2016.

Poarch has had a breakout year for Maryland after missing almost all of last season due to injury. Her skillful dribbling and quick playstyle have helped lead the Terps to their first Big Ten tournament berth in school history.

Maryland will look for Poarch to get on the board as the team returns to Michigan for a rematch of its regular-season finale. The Terps lost the first match 4-1.
