Maryland football is 4-0 after crushing Purdue 50-7 to open Big Ten play.

The Terps also earned themselves a nice little Maryland football record to go along with their undefeated start. The team’s 173 combined points are the most the program has ever generated over the first four contests.

Maryland’s highest-scoring game so far was its 52-point effort in the season opener against Howard. Its lowest was the 30-point performance in its overtime win over UCF.

As the schedule gets tougher, Maryland will likely stop scoring so many points, but this is a good sign that Walt Bell’s offense is working.
