We here at Terps Watch find all kinds of ways to tie in Maryland athletics into most things, like the 2019 College Football Playoff National Championship.
The game was played between No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Clemson, but the game was not just the game. There was also the halftime show, where Imagine Dragons and Lil Wayne performed several miles away from Levi’s Stadium.
The marching bands take the stage during halftime on the field, but it was the halftime show that got a former Maryland basketball player chirping on Twitter.
I’m with @coldplay or @Imaginedragons performing any halftime show from here on out…

Yes, Kevin Huerter, the 19th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, tweeted this out after the completion of the halftime show.
This is a very hot take, even causing a mini-feud between some of the Terps Watch writers. The Coldplay addition is a very hot take, referencing their halftime show at Super Bowl 50, which essentially became Beyonce and Bruno Mars, featuring Coldplay.
To each their own, but the Imagine Dragons take is much better, but can we talk about what Lil Wayne was wearing?
A fashion statement is a fashion statement, but sometimes, too far is too far.
