Jamie Kalven, a journalist and human rights activist, discussed institutional racism and gave advice to University of Maryland student journalists trying to report on it.

Tara Houska, who served as the Native American adviser on the Bernie Sanders’ campaign, flew to Maryland to speak at this university’s Native Roots Monologues event.

Her project will last until May of next year.

The fair will only be one day long this year, though.
