Stadium Drive and the Stadium Drive Garage are reopen after being shut down because of a gas leak reported at SECU Stadium, according to a UMPD alert at 4:41 p.m. Friday.
A gas leak at SECU Stadium was reported Friday, according to an alert from University of Maryland Police at 3:37 p.m.
Washington Gas shut off the gas after the leak was reported, an update from UMPD at 4:28 p.m. said.
The Stadium Drive Parking Garage and parts of Stadium Drive were closed due to the reported leak, UMPD said, but have since been reopened.
The fire department was on the scene, according to UMPD, and police urged the public to stay away from the area.
The Prince George’s County Fire Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
