The entire University of Maryland campus is facing a heat and hot water outage Tuesday morning, according to an email from Residential Facilities.
The outage is occurring because the campus steam plant is offline, the email read.
Residential Facilities does not have an estimate as to when the plant will be running again and when heat and hot water will be restored across the campus.
Cold water across the campus is still operational and campus community members can still use sinks and toilets, Residential Facilities wrote in the email.
The Department of Facilities Management did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
