The University of Maryland Police Department received reports Saturday morning of theft from 10 cars, according to a campuswide alert Saturday evening.

Five of the vehicles were parked in lot 12A, with the other five cars parked in the lot of the Cypress Building, according to the alert.

Nine of the 10 vehicles had their driver’s side windows shattered and the steering wheel airbag stolen, per the alert. Those vehicles were Honda Civics made between 2016 and 2021. 

The tenth vehicle, a 2021 Toyota Camry, had its tires and rims stolen, according to the alert.

The University Police’s Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating the incidents.
