M&T Bank Stadium’s mass vaccination site is allocating appointments to students, faculty and staff at Maryland colleges through May 8 as part of the “University Days” initiative, according to a press release from the University of Maryland Medical System.

Eligible community members, which include incoming students, can make an appointment online. Walk-up vaccinations are available between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., except when the Baltimore Orioles play in the afternoon or during the day.

Those who are under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, according to the release. All Marylanders 16 and over are eligible for COVID-19 vaccination at state-run mass sites.

The “University Days” campaign is the product of a partnership between the state health department and the Maryland Higher Education Commission.

The initiative at the Baltimore site comes after University System of Maryland Chancellor Jay Perman announced a systemwide COVID-19 vaccination mandate this fall.
