Former Maryland football player David Mackall shot and killed in Baltimore

Baltimore Police identified former Maryland football player David Mackall as the victim of a fatal shooting Wednesday in Baltimore.
Police went to the 1900 block of Braddish Avenue on Wednesday at about 2:46 p.m. for a reported shooting. Officers who responded saw the 28-year-old had “multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and head,” according to a Baltimore Police Facebook post.
He was transported to a local hospital, and later died, the post read.
Mackall played at the University of Maryland as a defensive lineman in 2010-11, and later transferred to the University of Delaware.
Police have not named a suspect in his death.
