After scoring one touchdown on a kickoff and three touchdowns from rushing the ball, Javon Leake has won the Big Ten Offensive and Special Teams Player of the Week awards. He is the first player ever to win both awards in the same week.

Javon Leake was explosive on Saturday as he compiled 274 total yards and four touchdowns while only touching the ball eight times.

Leake had three kick returns, one of them going for a 97-yard touchdown, while getting a total of 134 yards on returns.

Leake was also the leading rusher for the Terps on Saturday. On just five carries, he tallied 140 rushing yards and three touchdowns, giving him an impressive 28 yards per carry. All three of Leake’s rushing touchdowns showed off his explosive ability, as they all went for over 25 yards. His longest run went for 64 yards, which you can see below.

After his award-winning game on Saturday, expect Javon Leake to be featured more in the final four games of Maryland’s regular season slate.
