Diamond Stone is off to the NBA, but the Maryland men’s basketball team will still return half of its freshman class for the 2016-17 season.

Walk-on guard Andrew Terrell put any doubts concerning his future to rest in an Instagram post Tuesday, wishing Melo Trimble good luck as he decides whether or not to return to College Park. Terrell confirmed in the post that he will “NOT test the waters” and will come back to Maryland for his sophomore season, citing a “gimpy” hamstring.

This surely comes as a relief to Maryland fans, who now know for certain they can look forward to more episodes of the “Andrew Terrell Show” next season.

Terrell showed a knack for the camera in a few appearances this season, but hopefully the show could take a leap in season two.

While Maryland could lose all five of its starters from the past season, the team will at least return its leader in three-point shooting percentage (Terrell went 1-for-2 and blamed his missed shot on a “lopsided ball”).

In his freshman season, Terrell averaged 0.4 points, 0.1 assists and zero rebounds in 1.8 minutes per game.

The towel’s back next year.
