Terrapins men’s basketball guard Melo Trimble is one of 10 finalists for the Bob Cousy Award, which is given to the top point guard in the country, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced Monday.

The sophomore leads the Terps in scoring per game (14.5) and assists (5.4). He has been at his best against the Terps’ toughest foes, dropping 24 against Georgetown, 23 at North Carolina and 24 at Michigan State.

Plus, Trimble hit a last second 3-pointer Jan. 9 at Wisconsin to lift the Terps to a 63-60 win.

The 10 finalists will be reduced to five in early-to-mid March and the winner will be announced April 8 in Los Angeles, California.
