Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place on the campus Sunday night, according to a University of Maryland safety notice.

Six university students were in Montgomery Hall at 8:15 p.m. Sunday when one of them responded to a knock at the door. Upon answering, a man asked the student if he knew an individual. When the student replied that he did not know the person, the man forced his way into the room and brandished a handgun. A second man then entered the room and demanded property.

The two suspects took property from the victims and fled, according to the notice. No one was injured.
