What to watch for

Going bowling: Maryland has been sitting on five wins since their win against Michigan State in October. They had a good chance to clinch bowl eligibility with their sixth win against Indiana, but an inability to stop the run denied them that chance. They went had to endure the three-game gauntlet of Michigan, Ohio State and Nebraska. Maryland has one last chance to punch a ticket to a bowl game against Rutgers.

Avoiding the upset: For the first time since the Michigan State game, Maryland finds themselves favored by the oddsmakers, with Vegas favoring them over Rutgers by 14. For Maryland, winning this game is important not only to clinch bowl eligibility but to avoid ending the season with an upset at home.

Senior send-off: Maryland will be celebrating senior day against Rutgers. Unfortunately, Maryland’s most decorated senior, Will Likely, will be injured and unable to enjoy his final game at Maryland Stadium. The Terps will be celebrating 22 seniors.

Rutgers players to watch

Punter Michael Cintron: Rutgers has found themselves needing to punt a lot this year. As such, they have found themselves needing the trusty leg of Michael Cintron. He has punted 70 times in Big Ten play, averaging 37.8 yards per punt and has pinned opponents inside the 20-yard-line 12 times. Against Michigan, Cintron had an incredible game where he punted 16 times for 603 yards. Maryland will be hoping he makes regular appearances tomorrow.
