The grants make up a part of the 70 grants — totaling about $12 million — that have been cancelled or paused at this university since Trump returned to office in January.
The legislation would force the Trump administration to report how it’s complying with court orders related to U.S. citizens or residents wrongfully deported to El Salvador.
The losses include funding from the National Institute of Health, Department of Education, the National Science Foundation and the Department of Defense.
