The NextNOW Fest took place in The Clarice’s Dance Theatre, with an audience filled with about 100 supportive friends, family and other dance students.
The program saw declining resources and personnel after former program director Alan Peel announced in May 2022 that he was stepping down after 15 years of leadership.
The three-day event consisted of guest performances and walk-in sessions where attendees played with juggling equipment, such as balls, balance boards and unicycles.
The student government allocated $1,500 to support the program's pilot run and cover the cost of chest binder and tucking materials provided to students.
Dozens of audience members gathered Thursday for a student rendition of the play “The Late Wedding” in Kogod Theatre at The Clarice Performing Arts Center.
