Two lanes of Route 1 will be closed at the Rossborough Lane intersection from around March 17 to May 19 for the construction of Purple Line tracks, according to the University of Maryland’s website.
The closure will impact the road from Hotel Drive to Fraternity Row. The sidewalk on one side of the road will also be closed, the website said.

During the closure, only one lane will remain open in each direction and Rossborough Lane will be closed at Route 1.
According to the Purple Line website, the crosswalk at Route 1 and Rossborough Lane will also be closed.
The Purple Line website states that vehicles will still be able to access Yale Avenue through a detour from Hotel Drive to Diamondback Drive.
