In 2025, I never thought I’d hear the names Shawn Mendes and Tyler Oakley mentioned in the context of Magcon. Yet somehow, Quenlin Blackwell made it happen.
At her live Q&A with Student Entertainment Events Thursday, the influencer quickly shifted the energy of Stamp Student Union’s Grand Ballroom into a gossip session — unfiltered, chaotic and impossible to leave. With irresistible charisma, connection to heartthrob Duke Dennis and nearly 12 million TikTok followers, she drew in a packed room of young adults who hung onto her every word.
Blackwell teased multiple new projects, ranging from an upcoming episode of her cooking podcast — one she hopes to feature singer Billie Eilish and actress Odessa A’zion — to a second drop of her fashion brand, RIQUERA. She also hinted at her appearance in Rachel Sennott’s untitled HBO comedy show and a podcast episode featuring Lil Yachty.

The question of the night centered on Blackwell’s ‘It girl’ cameo in Charli xcx’s “360” music video. To Blackwell, Charli xcx is cool, real and normal — everything Brat seemed to symbolize last summer.
As for hitting the stage at the Grammys for Charli xcx’s performance, Blackwell shared that she’d been sick during rehearsal and the show was her first time dancing with the other performers. Blackwell said what kept her going through the madness was the blissful ignorance of being perceived.
“I mean, when I go out with my friends and like, having a little shot, you know, having a good time,” Blackwell said. “I am not thinking about how I am being perceived. That’s kind of what I’m trying to escape every day.”
Beyond the Brat escapades, everyone wanted to know what she was watching, who she was dating and what projects she had lined up. Blackwell proudly declared The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as her current watch, sharing a story about someone she dated hating on this “stupid” show choice.
“Get out of my house, you don’t pay rent, leave,” Blackwell said in response. “Ew, you’re boring. Miserable, miserable.”
When asked about how she first met Larray — another influencer often associated with Blackwell — she divulged how all of her friendships started online.
The pair connected on Vine and grew closer after Blackwell moved to Los Angeles. From there, the love only grew. Now, we get the honor of seeing pictures of them kissing, platonically, of course, on our feeds for national holidays of love.
“If I had a baby, or if I got married, Larray would be the first person I called,” Blackwell said.
In between bursts of laughter from the crowd, Blackwell shifted into an alter ego of a life coach to dispense advice from the perspective of an internet star.

When asked for advice on maintaining friendships in college, she admitted that she’s no stranger to isolating herself. But, she encouraged everyone to take the time to go on coffee dates and show up for their friends through texts or letters.
Effortlessly slipping into her no-nonsense adult persona, the crowd remained enthralled with her every word.
And when it came to Duke Dennis, all the crowd got from the Q&A was that he was “the nicest man ever” — and also an iconic middle split, just like the one that kickstarted her online career, from Queen Quen herself.
