Maryland baseball released its 2025 schedule Thursday. The Terps will play six teams that played in the NCAA tournament last year and eight that finished in the top 75 of RPI.
Maryland doesn’t play any home nonconference series with the season opening in Charleston, South Carolina, at the Swig and Swine College Classic from Feb. 14 to 16. The Terps will play 22 home games and 33 road games.
The Terps head to Wake Forest from Feb. 28 to March 6 for two games each against Wake Forest and Princeton. The former finished last season with a 38-22 record and fell in the NCAA Regionals.
Maryland follows that with a midweek meeting against James Madison, the first of two in 2025. The Terps swept the Dukes in their two games last season.
Maryland will also travel to Virginia for a midweek game against the Cavaliers on March 11. Virginia lost in the College World Series to Florida State.

The Terps face Georgetown, which finished in the top 75 in RPI last season, twice this season. Maryland won two of three games against the Hoyas in 2024.
Big Ten play begins on March 7 at home against UCLA. The game marks the Terps’ first meeting against the Bruins since defeating them in California during the 2015 NCAA Regionals.
It’s one of three series against conference newcomers. Their second is at Washington from March 21-23. The Terps faced the Huskies in the Kleberg Bank College Classic last season, falling 6-5.
Oregon plays in College Park from April 11 to 13 for the school’s inaugural meeting. The Ducks finished 40-20 in 2024, slotting at No. 40 in RPI.
Maryland also holds series against Illinois, Indiana and Nebraska, all of which finished the year within the top 75 in RPI. The Terps will face Penn State in University Park, Pennsylvania, from May 2 to 4 after the Nittany Lions defeated Maryland in its final series last year — bumping them out of Big Ten Tournament contention.
The Terps cap the season at Bob “Turtle” Smith Stadium from May 16 to 18 against Rutgers.
