Drivers approaching the University of Maryland will not be able to turn left onto Campus Drive from Adelphi Road for about six months starting Tuesday, according to a university construction update.
University administration recommends drivers only use campus entrances at Paint Branch Drive, Stadium Drive or Baltimore Avenue starting Tuesday, according to its website. The change is part of a broader set of new traffic patterns because of Maryland Purple Line construction, according to a Thursday article in Maryland Today.
The changes include restricted left turns from Adelphi Road onto Campus Drive — the intersection near the University of Maryland Global Campus — from either direction, according to Maryland Today. Westbound vehicles on Campus Drive will also no longer be able to turn left onto Adelphi Road to go southbound for about six months.
The traffic pattern will be different on days with home football games, according to Maryland Today.
