Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 5, 2024, as College Park Day returns from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the College Park Aviation Museum and Airport. This annual festival offers a day packed with free activities and entertainment for everyone.  

Enjoy live performances on three stages: the main stage with local bands like Hair Force One, the Dead Flowers and Mama Moon and the Rump Shakers, the family stage with acts such as Guava Jelly Duo, Milkshake and The Great Zucchini Magic Show, and the community stage featuring a variety of diverse performances throughout the day. Aviation enthusiasts will also be thrilled with free access to the College Park Aviation Museum’s exhibits and a spectacular helicopter fly-in.   

Discover a feast for the senses with a variety of local flavors. Participating food vendors include Bill’s BBQ, BliMan Kitchen, Diga Coffee Bar, Fun Stuff 4 Kids, Inc., PhoWheels, Pupuseria y Taqueria El Solecito, Tatak Pinoy Fil-Asian Cuisine and Street Food, Thai Town, Aunt Titty’s LLC, Cakelady Desserts, Catalyst Hot Dogs, Cousins Maine Lobster, Kona Ice, Mister Magic Ice Cream, Taqueria Habanero, and Two Smooth Food Dudes. For those interested in local brews, Denizens Brewing Company and Streetcar 82 will also be on hand. 

Attendees can dive into a world of free entertainment with lively wandering performers, insect zoo, creative arts & crafts, arcade games, exciting big wheel races, bounce houses, a 26-foot rock wall, and an inflatable football obstacle course. For a thrill, try your hand at axe throwing or test your balance in the mechanical bull riding arena. With all ages in mind, rest assured, there’s a whole lot more to explore and enjoy! 

Free parking is available near the event site including the College Park – UMD Metro Station garage. Free shuttle service will run from 11:45 AM to 6:25 PM, with stops at Regents Drive Garage, City Hall (parking is available for free during the event at the Downtown Garage), and College Park – UMD Metro station.
