A man with a knife assaulted a person at Regents Drive Garage on Tuesday night, according to UMPD.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was able to call for help from a safe area, a University of Maryland Police Department alert at 11:23 p.m. said.
The suspect is not in custody. Police advised community members to stay away from the area in an alert sent just before 11 p.m.
Officers searched the area and were unable to locate the suspect, a final UMPD alert around midnight said. UMPD will continue to investigate and search for the suspect, the alert said.
UMPD could not be immediately reached for comment.
