Antisemitic, racist and homophobic graffiti was found on the walls of the College Park U of MD Metro station parking garage Friday.
Racial and homophobic slurs and Nazi symbols line the walls of the top level of the parking garage in bold writing. The parking garage is located on Campus Drive and is about a mile away from the University of Maryland’s campus.
A student at this university discovered the graffiti Friday and it was still up as of Sunday afternoon.
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority said in a statement to The Diamondback that they would handle the issue as soon as possible.
“Hate has no place on the Metro or anywhere else. Metro is working to remove the despicable graffiti as soon as possible,” WMATA said in the statement.
The Prince George’s County Police Department was not immediately available for comment.
