The University of Maryland is partnering with Safeway Pharmacy to vaccinate more than 3,000 community members on campus at the Riggs Alumni Center, according to a Wednesday email from student affairs vice president Patty Perillo.

The vaccines will be offered April 26 through April 28 to students, faculty and staff, according to the email. Patients will receive the Pfizer vaccine

The university is providing a site location for Safeway to ensure more campus community members can get vaccinated, according to the email.

More than 60 percent of the UMD community has received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, The Diamondback reported Tuesday.

The email encouraged the campus community to report their vaccine status through the university’s Daily Symptom Check, as well as to continue following 4 Maryland healthy behaviors.
