Maryland men’s lacrosse’s Jared Bernhardt, Nick Grill and Logan McNaney were all named to the Big Ten Team of the Week for their performances at then-No. 13 Penn State on Feb. 26, the conference announced Tuesday.
Bernhardt was named the Big Ten’s offensive player of the week, while Grill earned defensive player of the week honors and McNaney picked up the specialist of the week award for his play in net for the Terps.
This is Bernhardt’s third offensive player of the week honor in his Maryland career. The fifth-year senior notched a game-high seven points on three goals and four assists in the win last Friday.
And after he shined on offense for the Terps, Bernhardt now leads the Big Ten in assists and is tied for first in total points.

Grill is taking home defensive player of the week honors for the second straight week after receiving the award for the first time in his career on Feb. 23.
The Bridgewater, New Jersey, native anchored a Maryland defense that held the Nittany Lions to just seven goals, their fewest in a game since March 2018. Grill also tied his career high with six ground balls in the win.
McNaney made the Big Ten Team of the Week in just his fourth career start. The sophomore recorded a career-high 16 saves and .696 save percentage last weekend. He now leads all Big Ten goalies in save percentage through two games.
This is the second Big Ten weekly honor for McNaney, after he was named the conference’s freshman of the week on March 3, 2020.
The No. 3 Terps return home Saturday to face rival Johns Hopkins.
