The Prince George’s County Police Department and University of Maryland police responded to an assault with a weapon on Route 1 Saturday morning, according to a UMD Alert.
The assault occurred in the 8700 block of Baltimore Avenue, near The Enclave, the alert read. A female individual fired a gun near the victim and left the scene with a male driver in a white four-door Toyota, according to the alert.
The vehicle was last seen traveling southbound on Baltimore Avenue, the alert read.
The incident did not appear to pose an ongoing threat to the campus community, and Prince George’s County police will continue the investigation, according to the alert.
