Maryland men’s and women’s basketball released their nonconference schedules Monday afternoon in an athletics department release.
Mark Turgeon’s squad starts its season with a matchup against Old Dominion on Nov. 25. The Terps are also slated to take on Navy, Mount St. Mary’s, Monmouth, George Mason and La Salle at Xfinity Center. Navy and Mount St. Mary’s will also face off against one another at Xfinity as a part of a “multi-team event,” per Monday’s release.
Maryland men’s basketball is set to travel to Clemson on Dec. 9 for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. It’ll be the first time the Terps have faced the Tigers since 2014.
The women’s basketball team is currently slated to have six nonconference contests. The Terps are set to travel to Estero, Florida, for the Beach Bubble in late November, with matchups against Davidson, Missouri State and Arkansas. That trip will be followed by three games in five days at Xfinity Center, as the women’s team hosts Towson, Coppin State and Mount St. Mary’s.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, neither team will begin their home schedule in front of fans, according to the release.
“We are hopeful that we may be able to welcome some fans to Xfinity Center as the season progresses and health conditions permit,” the release read.
