Early Saturday morning, a female student reported to police that a male ran up to her and touched her inappropriately at about 1:10 a.m. near the fountain on McKeldin Mall, according to a University of Maryland Police safety notice.
The suspect left the area following the incident, according to the notice.
The University Police’s Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating the reported fourth-degree sex offense, according to the safety notice.
