Police give all clear after reported robbery with a weapon near the College Park Metro

University of Maryland police issued an all clear Saturday afternoon after a reported robbery with a weapon near the College Park Metro and post office, according to a UMD alert.

The pair of suspects were last seen running from the Metro station, according to an alert sent at 2:44 p.m. They left the scene in a green Ford Mustang with a beige top, according to the release.

Officers have advised the suspects have left the area, according to an alert sent at 3:11 p.m. The Metro Transit Police Department, the Prince George’s County Police Department and the University of Maryland Police Department will continue to patrol Old Town and downtown College Park, the alert read.

The Metro Transit Police Department will be conducting the robbery investigation, according to the alert.
