A worker in a University of Maryland office building who was tested for coronavirus last week does not have the virus, according to an update posted Saturday.

The individual, who is not a university employee, worked in the Manokin building — an office in the Discovery District that the Division of Information Technology uses. The building was shut down temporarily and employees were instructed to work remotely Thursday.

There have not been any cases of the virus confirmed at this university. So far, 37 Marylanders have tested positive, including 10 in Prince George’s County.
