With over 80 CAVA locations across the country, the restaurant is mastering Mediterranean flavors one bowl, pita, and salad at a time.
CAVA, a DC-based Mediterranean fast-casual startup, has a commitment to bold flavors and innovation that never sleeps. In August of 2019, CAVA announced the opening of The Innovation Kitchen, located in their Dupont Circle restaurant. The kitchen serves as a testing ground for new culinary experiments, with the plan of rolling out successful fan favorites across the country.
This week, Harissa Honey Chicken hits the CAVA line, launching nationwide, marking the first new protein introduced in over four years. CAVA describes its flavor as “a hint of sweetness, tinge of smoke, and a buzzy heat that sneaks up on you (in the best way!).”
The new flavor was created by CAVA’s co-founder and head chef, Dimitri Moshovitis, and founded on two Mediterranean staples: spice and sweetness. The CAVA team joined forces with Madhava, a certified Clean Label Project honey company, and found a winner in the delicate sweetness of their Unfiltered Organic Amber Honey.
Since the College Park location’s opening last November, we’ve seen CAVA join the campus community through donations and fundraisers, as well as through brand ambassadors who help bring Crazy Feta to College Park. Both the bold, craveable flavors and the frequent campus activations contribute to CAVA’s ultimate mission: to help guests Discover the Power of Food.
