Prince George’s County Police and University of Maryland Police responded to an off-campus assault near Route 1 Tuesday night, according to a UMD alert.
The incident, which occurred on Guilford Drive and Rowalt Drive, involved a male who grabbed a female after he spoke with her, the first alert read. The male had asked the female for her help looking for his lost dog, a second alert said.
By midnight, police issued an “all clear” for the incident, since the male appeared to have fled the area. The first alert detailed he went toward Hartwick Road.
PGPD will be conducting an investigation, the second alert read.
