An indecent exposure occurred in McKeldin Library on Monday night, according to a UMD alert.
At about 8:40 p.m., a female student on the sixth floor saw a male exposing himself, the alert read. Accompanied by others on the floor, the woman chased the male down the library’s stairs, but he eluded them.
University Police responded at about 9 p.m. and searched the area but could not locate him, the alert read. Police will continue to investigate.
The suspect was captured on video surveillance. An image provided by police shows a man in a black Steelers sweatshirt, dark pants and a dark hat fleeing the building.
