University of Maryland Police responded to reports of a stolen motor vehicle, DWI/DUI, emergency petition and fraud over the past week, according to police reports.
Stolen Motor Vehicle
University Police responded to Annapolis Hall for a motor scooter theft that occurred Oct. 16 at 12:30 p.m., according to police logs.
Police are asking for the university community’s help to locate the individual involved, police spokesperson Sgt. Rosanne Hoaas said in a press release.
The case is active.
DWI/DUI
University Police responded to a DWI/DUI incident on Route 1 on Oct. 17 at 1 a.m.
On the following day at 2:30 a.m., University Police responded to another DWI/DUI incident on Lehigh Road.
There were arrests in both cases, according to police logs.
Emergency Petition
On Tuesday at 2:08 p.m., University Police responded to the university’s Health Center for an emergency petition, according to police logs.
On Wednesday at 1:17 p.m., University Police responded to the Health Center for another emergency petition, according to police logs.
An emergency petition is an urgent psychiatric evaluation that occurs when a person could be a threat to the safety of themselves or others.
The case is closed by exception.
Fraud
On Oct. 16 at 5:33 p.m., University Police responded to Anne Arundel Hall for a fraud incident according to police logs.
The case is still active.
