One of College Park’s finest filling stations was featured on the show Campus Eats Tuesday night.
That’s right, R.J. Bentley’s finally got its moment in the spotlight.
Big Ten Network’s Campus Eats, in its third season, visits schools around the conference, highlighting iconic restaurants and dishes in each city. For the show’s trip to Bentley’s, the Jamaican jerk chicken fingers and Old Bay wings were among the top picks.

Maryland field hockey head coach Missy Meharg even weighed in, choosing the crab pretzels and crab cakes as her favorites.
Bentley’s, located on Route 1, is a popular bar with students past and present. One big name in particular, ESPN host and prominent former Terp Scott Van Pelt, has given Bentley’s a shoutout on numerous times.
Let's go to Bentley's !!!!!!

Of course, not everyone on Twitter thought that Bentley’s was deserving of the recognition it received.
Some vouched for another well-known Route 1 bar to get the spotlight.
Didn’t have one meal at Bentley’s in college. Everyone ate their bar food at cornerstone. Bentley’s is famous because of SVP.

Additionally, Cornerstone wasn’t the only local eatery to be suggested on Twitter.

Whether or not Bentley’s is among your favorite places in College Park, it’s certainly one of the most famous. And for any Maryland student, a crab pretzel is hard to pass up.
