Five former Maryland lacrosse players helped lead Team USA to a world title

Saturday was a big day for Maryland men’s lacrosse as five former players helped Team USA win the 2018 FIL World Lacrosse Championship in Israel.

Team USA won its 10th world title after defeating Team Canada, 9-8, in the final.

Michael Ehrhardt (’14), Jake Bernhardt (’13), Jesse Bernhardt (’13), John Haus (’13) and Drew Snider (’12) represented the Terrapins. Maryland had the most former players of any school represented on Team USA.

Ehrhardt was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, getting 26 ground balls over the course of the tournament and scoring two goals in Team USA’s 14-5 victory over Australia in the semifinals.

Haus and Snider combined for 14 goals and seven assists over the seven games the U.S. played.
