On Thursday night, DJ Moore’s NFL dreams came true, as the Carolina Panthers selected him with the 24th overall pick of the NFL Draft.

Moore earned no shortage of love and praise after his selection from Terps past and present. Torrey Smith, his soon-to-be teammate, was thrilled to see Moore would be joining him in Carolina.

Stefon Diggs, who had to wait until the fifth round to hear his name called, gave kudos to Moore for being taken in the first round.

Of course, Moore’s former teammates also showered him with praise, which you can see from Lorenzo Harrison and Darnell Savage Jr.

While it’s wonderful to see Moore receive love from the Terp family, without a doubt the most exciting person to praise DJ Moore was none other than a Carolina Panthers legend: Steve Smith.

Smith is eighth all-time in career receiving yards, so if he thinks of highly of a WR, it’s an opinion certainly carrying quite a bit of weight.

After the Panthers took Moore, Smith boldly proclaimed that Carolina had finally found someone to replace him.

As Moore prepares to take the next step in his football career, it’s got to feel awfully good to know that a franchise legend is already embracing him in to the fold.
