Two Maryland women’s lacrosse players earned Big Ten honors Tuesday after the team beat Princeton and Ohio State last week.
Attacker Megan Whittle was named Co-Offensive Player of the Week and goalkeeper Megan Taylor was named the Defensive Player of the Week.
Whittle notched three goals and an assist in the Terps’ 11-10 win at Princeton and produced three goals in a 20-5 rout of Ohio State to break Maryland’s all-time scoring record.
Taylor made 12 saves against Princeton and six against Ohio State. She’s allowed fewer than eight goals per game this year.
Whittle has been named Offensive Player of the Week four times this year. Taylor has claimed two weekly honors this year.
