Maryland women’s lacrosse goalkeeper Megan Taylor was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after making 15 saves across two games last week.
The junior had seven saves and allowed only two goals in a 14-6 victory over Rutgers on Friday, marking her best save percentage of the season. Two days earlier, against then-No. 10 Virginia, Taylor made eight saves and allowed eight goals.
It’s Taylor’s second weekly honor of the season. Defender Lizzie Colson has won the award four times.
The No. 3 Terps are on a 10-game win streak and have opened conference play 3-0. Maryland plays Princeton on Tuesday.
