Who to watch for Maryland: Anthony Cowan
Maryland played some of their best basketball Saturday in their win against Northwestern and a lot of that was thanks to a strong performance from Anthony Cowan. Cowan scored 16 points, four assists and most importantly seven rebounds. Cowan’s ability to push the pace allowed for many transition baskets and his teammates flourished. Cowan was one of four teammates to score in double digits all while shooting 52.9 percent from the floor.
Who to watch for Nebraska: James Palmer Jr.
Palmer was a former top 100 recruit out of high school before spending two years at Miami averaging 3.6 points per game in 12.5 minutes. Palmer left Coral Gables after only five career starts and has become one of the Big Ten’s best scorers in 2018, averaging 17.6 points (5th best) and starting every game thus far. Palmer is also from Upper Marlboro, the same home town as Melo Trimble.
