What to watch for the Terps: Perimeter defense
Yeah, we’re beating a dead horse here — this was also what we said to watch for against Iowa and Ohio State — but this has kind of been Maryland’s defining feature recently. The Hawkeyes and Buckeyes shot a combined 28-of-50 on 3-pointers, and with the Terps still lacking depth, the Wolverines will likely excel from beyond the arc, too.
Seems like having 8 scholarship players and only 6 who have consistently played all season will be an issue.

What to watch for the Wolverines: Free throws
Last season, Michigan made a Big Ten-best 77.9 percent of its free throws. This year, the script has flipped: The Wolverines are shooting 66.4 percent from the charity stripe, the second-worst mark in the conference. If the Terps can keep this one close down the stretch, their efficient free-throw shooting — they’re third in the Big Ten with a 74.2 percent clip — could give them an edge in Ann Arbor.
